The fix will be ready when it's ready and will probably be released with the next driver.
Opening another topic about the bug that has already been mentioned won't make the fix appear earlier. Try using indirect rendering as a workaround. No offence, I'm not trying to be rude or something, I'm just tired of seeing dozens of threads about the same problem, or with the same questions. If the problem you have is not anything new, then don't create another thread just try to write in the one that already exists. |

Hello,
I have the same problem with the nvidia beta drivers. I'm using debian unstable with the nvidia beta driver from experimental and with the beryl packages from http://forum.debian-fr.org/viewtopic.php?t=4985 (sorry it's a french forum) But wenn i start beryl with the option beryl --force-aiglx && beryl-manager it works fine for me ! Hope this can help you. The only problem is that i'm unable to read video with mplayer ot totem because the video output doesn't work anymore, but it's very nice to see beryl running on my machine. |

Well i had same situation, black windows only for gtk+ applications.
Running beryl with --strict-binding has solved this but unfortunately in cost of cpu usage.

This does not fix it. Anyone who runs out of VRAM will still get black windows.
I run a 30" screen and after about 5 mins, running beryl-svn and nvidia 1.0.9746 I still get black windows. Running a 7800 GT OC at 2560x1600. |
