Default 360 naming scheme... changed?

looking around at sale flyers yesterday i noticed that the xbox 360 "premium" is now being labeled as "pro". This may just be speculation, but are they preparing for the release of the new "premium" or whatever they are going to call it? Seems like all these rumors of a new system soon might not be too far off.

i thought about that too, but most ppl see premium and would think it is better than pro. i mean this is all speculation, but why else name the existing premium pro? i have no clue.

Technically, there is no "premium" or "pro" system. Officially, there is only the Xbox 360, and the Xbox 360 Core. The Premium/Pro monicker was mostly just left over from when everyone was calling the $400 package that, and generally it will alternate between the two in advertising depending on who makes the advertisement for the store. I've seen both used in sales flyers since the console was released.

So I doubt any advertising would indicate anything about a new version coming out since chances are they don't have any more knowledge about it than we do.

I dunno if you can go by that. I seen a lot of sites use different names for premium. For example, newegg calls the premium, a "deluxe" for some reason
