Question pagefile question

Which is a better setting? System managed size pagfile or a fixed size pagefile?

I have RAID 0 on 2x 150GbRaptors (OS), and 3x 500Gb WD Caviar RE2 7200RPM drives (for storage, non-RAID). Presently the pagefile (it is system managed size) is only on the RAID drives. Should I keep the pagefile in the RAID drives or will I get some performance increase if I move it to one of the 500GB drives instead? I read somewhere that if I move it from the drive with the OS, I should leave a small pagefile like 50Mb.

Fixed is better as the os doesnt have to use up cycles resizing . I like 2560mb for 2gb of ram.
Keep it on the raptors gets my vote.
Dont take offence but with your rig how can you not know that?
Thats like tweaking xp day 1.
Next would be switch to classic style and turn off indexing.

Fixed size, on your fastest drive (your RAID 0 array).

Also try to push it to the edge of the platter, Its unproven as far as I know (not far) but worth a try.
Maybe make a very small partition BEFORE the os partition.
Theres no "too big" as far as page is concerned but any more than 3gb is a waste of space.

If you dont create a partition for it then use Pagedefrag.
