You guys heard of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom?

I am surprised the media couldn't take five minutes off from Ann Nicole reporting to cover this horrible double murder in Knoxville TN. I am not going to go into real details save to say they were both raped, tortured and murdered.

They were apparently on a date and got "car jacked". You can google either name to get what scant coverage there is of it out there.

****ing disgusting. To think that these bastards even get a trial and a chance to plead not guilty makes me sick.

I agree that the media is f'n retarded. I think the whole "Celebrities are top priority" is a bunch of BS. Anyone else seen that "Inside Edition" show? Their top story the other day was how Britney hit a cameraman with an umbrella. Whooptie-f*ckin-doo.

But what do I know about the media. I don't watch the news because I don't wanna hear all the bad things going on in the world; it's depressing.

If folks think there is no liberal media bias I would say contrast the level of coverage this case has received vs the "Duke Rape Case". It would also be a good exercise to compare the styles.

I do not believe there is a death penalty in TN. So the worst these fellows might get is to have society feed and cloth them for the rest of their lives.

This is also tied up in how our nation does want to confront the problem of gangs, and career violent offenders who continually go in and out of jail.

People aren't allowed to be taught a conscience and the internal dynamics that prevent these sort of things anymore so society needs to make it so a person without these checks and balances considers the crime "not worth it". Naturally, this won't effect a truly insane person and it will one on the fence.

Self-preservation is pretty high on the list for sane people, even criminals. So if they knew they were going to receive a lethal injection in a timely fashion when caught and convicted we could curb some of this. Also you don't have to worry about a dead career criminal escaping, repeating or being taken care of.
