Default M2NPV-VM

Greetings all.

Well my problems with my: Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard have significantly faded away!

For any of you that run an x86_64 bit dual cpu, certainly for those running an: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor AND a debian system, you can now add this to your sources.list and download a 2.6.20-1 kernel that'll BOOT this board! Plus, of course, you will have the k8temp module to view the temperature sensors on your board.

Add this entry to your /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel trunk main

THEN, as root, run: cut----no quotes, no characters!----> apt-get update;apt-get install linux-image-2.6.20-1-amd64 linux-headers-2.6.20-1-amd64 <----cut----no quotes, no characters!----< (for the newbies)
You want the linux-headers in case you need to compile somthing against your new kernel (e.g. - the nividia video kernel, etc)

Cheers,
Chris M. W.
