Thanks for the advice, im running CPU-z v1.39... i think thats the latest version!?

Whats safe idle and load temps for a E6600?

What is peoples opinion on the maximum safe voltages for my memory?

Your cpu is rated at 60.1c on the IHS by intel under normal clocks.

Personally I stay at or below 56c Overclocked. (My E6400 is rated at the same temperature)

But I strive for a full/almost full life of my cpu while it is being overclocked.

Im going to try and squeese alittle more from the CPU, im wanting to know what the safe voltages are for my cpu & memory!... at the moment i have the cpu at 1.4v and my memory at 1.95v.... would 1.45v-1.5v be good for the cpu? i dont want to go above 1.5v ive heard this is not good for the cpu!

And the memory, whats safe for that? im thinking 2.0v! is that to high or could i go higher?

basicaly im wanting to know in people opinion what the max safe voltage if for the cpu & memory?

its not so much the vcore that matters, it is the high temperature as a result of the voltage that will be bad for the cpu. try to stay below 60 c full load for a healthy lifespan.

for your ram, you can run up to a 333 fsb and still leave it at stock voltage. i dont know how well your ram overclocks, but it will likely go up to 800 if you overvolt it. you may also have to loosen the latencies a bit. try testing out the ram individually while the cpu is stock to see how much headroom you have. try memtest @ 800 MHz while cpu is stock - that will give you a CPU oc of up to 3.6 ghz if it passes

Well i ran orthos for 10 hours and all went well...

FSB - 333
DRAM Frequency - 667MHz
Memory Voltage - 1.95v
CPU VCore Voltage - 1.3250v
FSB : DRAM 1:1

= 3000MHz/3.0GHz

Idles at 36c-37c

And under load(using TAT) goes to around 56c, i ran TAT for about 30mins.

I think TAT goes over the top with the heat it outputs. I couldn't make my cpu get as hot as TAT gets it if I tried. I don't even find my cpu gets as hot playing games or anything as Orthos makes it (large test, max heat). And orthos doesn't get it as hot as TAT.
