9631/GeForce4 **CRASHES** on kernel 2.6.20
X crashes on startup when running under linux 2.6.20 with 9631 drivers on a GeForce4 Ti 4600 board.
I had no problems under linux 2.6.19 using the same drivers. I am running the latest 2.6.20-1.2933 Fedora Core 6 kernel. The Xorg.0.log shows no specific errors per-se other than ending with the following backtrace and generic "Fatal server error:" message: Backtrace: 0: /usr/bin/Xorg(xf86SigHandler+0x81) [0x80e4ea1] 1: [0x965420] 2: /usr/bin/Xorg(NumMotionEvents+0x1e) [0x807da1e] 3: /usr/bin/Xorg(main+0x6af) [0x806fc8f] 4: /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xdc) [0x1bdf2c] 5: /usr/bin/Xorg(FontFileCompleteXLFD+0x1e9) [0x806eda1] Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting ------------------------- I am attaching the full relevant nvidia-bug-report. ------------------------- This crash is REALLY frustrating since I need the 2.6.20 to support some new hardware but my nVidia graphics card no longer works...
