Has anyone been able to get digital audio to work with this, or any other, combo?
I have the SPDIF port on the mobo connected to an A/V receiver. The receiver detects the presence of a device connected to the digital audio input, but it doesn't receive a digital signal. I do get an analog audio signal from the green audio port on the mobo. During setup, I tried to change the audio from i810 to nvaudio, but it wouldn't "stick". I'm not even sure if that's the right thing to do. BTW - I'm a total Linux newb. This is my first time using it. |

I've tried the 0256 drivers and the ALSA drivers....still nothing from SPDIF port.

According to Asus' website, it is important to NOT use the nvidia drivers for this motherboard. There are Linux drivers on their support site.
