I'm in London for a couple of days now. I'll run that command when I get back.
Thanks for looking into this netllama! I'll be back to it as soon as I get home. Damian |

In the ldd of glxinfo you have these 2 entries which I don't have in mine :
libGLU.so.1 => /usr/lib/libGLU.so.1 (0xb7ebb000) libglut.so.3 => /usr/lib/libglut.so.3 (0xb7e89000) Are you using some kinds of LD_PRELOAD? What's the output of export? |

Those entries should be harmless, as they appear because GLU and glut are installed.

You shouldn't have /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.9746 on your system if you're using 1.0-9755.

So is that's what's causing the problem?
I had the same problem when I was using 9746. Maybe I should try to remove all drivers and start again. Damian |

Installing the driver from a 3rd party package could cause this.

Right,
I tried to install manually first. Had problems, so used 'Envy' for Ubuntu. Then used Envy again to install the newer driver (although I was fairly sure that I told Envy to unistall the old driver first .. guess it just didn't work). I'll see if I can work out how to uninstall all the drivers then start again. |
