Default fuzzy/blurred text/images geforce 6100 & opensuse 10.2

I would appreciate anyone's help with this please. Everything is fuzzy and blurry, very difficult to read. I've searched this forum, and didn't see anything related.

NOTE: this machine used to run opensuse 10.1 w/ the 10.1 nvidia drivers, and everything looked great! I recently wiped the hard disk, and built a new server using opensuse 10.2. It's either opensuse, or the newer nvidia drivers. I wonder if the older drivers would work with opensuse 10.2???

Fresh install of opensuse 10.2.

Followed these directions to install nvidia drivers: (basically fetched nvidia-gfx-kmp-default and x11-video-nvidia rpm packages and installed, rebooted.

All text and images are fuzzy and blurry. I've attached a screen snapshot.

My monitor is an emachines E19T5W TFT LCD. I've hit the auto-adjust button 100 times.

I've also attached the nvidia-bug-report.log.

I hope someone can help.

Thanks for reading,

Daryl

hmm, I just checked this picture from a different computer (windows), and the picture looks fine!

That means my monitor must have a problem. My monitor was detected by opensuse. Hopefully this will help me find the problem.

Fixed, kinda.

The screen refresh rate was set to 50 Hz. I set it to max 62 Hz, which helped alot. It's still not as sharp as I'd like, but at least I can read the text now.

Hope this thread helps somebody else! I was ready to yank the card out and pop in something else... that probably wouldn't have help either doh! I've wasted way too much time on this problem
