Here's a weird one. I recently installed electric sheep on my SuSE 10.2 (with stable dist of beryl) machine. I leave for class and come back, and the machine is frozen on a frame of esheep, and by frozen I mean ctrl + F* doesn't work, mouse doesn't work, nothing.
I figure its a freak occurrence and reboot. A little while later, I leave my machine for a bit and come back and its frozen at a different frame. Not good. A little while back I was working with a couple of different viewports in beryl and I ctrl+alt click to drag the cube and bang, freezes again. I'm not sure whats going on, but I pray that it isn't a hardware issue with my vid card, because it appears to only happen when I do something that requires some extra oomph from the card. I have checked to make sure that everything is seated, and double checked my bios settings. Any hints? Could this be driver related? How can I get troubleshooting info from a freeze like this? I can boot to windows and can play oblivion fine and full power, or even with the card overclocked slightly. |
