Default 7950GX2 - Using both GPUs?

Hi there,

Is there a way to be sure that, in fact, the driver is using both GPUs?
I'm asking this because I've been having hard lockups and blue screens in both WinXP and Vista when running certain games.
So I installed Linux to be sure if the problem is hardware or drivers.

I'm testing it with UrbanTerror 4 with ioquake3.
Hard locks and blue screens in Windows... None so far on Linux.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You'd need to configure X to use both GPUs, and then run nvidia-settings to confirm that they're both in use. Checking the X log would also be a good means of confirming that your X configuration is being used as expected.

I've already set "MultiGPU" and "SLI" to "on".
In nvidia-settings, in "X Screen 0", I have a entry "GPUs" that lists both of them. Is this what I was looking for?

PS: Off-topic question. GPU2 seems to be running hotter than GPU1 (by 10C). Is this normal?

Yes, both are expected.
