Default Re: Driver Installation - Fedore Core 6

According to your bug report, X is hanging when initializing the 2nd GPU.

Does this problem persist with the 100.14.03 beta driver?
Have you verified that you're using the most recent BIOS?

I've upgraded the Bios (the current version is A03 since the 2007/04/10) and tried to installed the 100.14.03 driver.Of course, I've uninstalled the older 9755 driver before.
The problem persits with the latest 100.14.03 driver giving the report attached.

The new point is that it does not produce the same error. The log seems to say
Code:
(--) NVIDIA(GPU-1): Connected display device(s) on Quadro NVS 440 at PCI:9:0:0:

Backtrace:
0: /usr/bin/Xorg(xf86SigHandler+0x81) [0x80e4ea1]
1: [0xb7f4f420]
2: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so(_nv001046X+0x1a) [0xb73c2606]

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
Do you know what it means ?

It means that X crashed instead of hanging. All of these problems suggest that Dell didn't qualify this system for the graphics card that you're using.

By phone, they told me that the system as it is now works. The proof is that it boots in windows with no problem.... That is all they can say to me.

The Fedora is not supported by Dell yet. They only support Red Hat Entreprise on these products. I'll check them once again....

The last point I want to check is the IRQ. In the BIOS the IRQ for the GPU#0 is 11 and for the GPU#1 is 10. Couldn't it be the problem as the nvidia-bug-report.log tells they are 21 and 22 ??
