Default Suse 10.0 SLI cards

Can someone help me? I'm an absolute newbie to Linux, never used it before, and would like to learn. I installed Suse 10.0 in a dual-boot setup with XP Pro. I have a pair of MSI GeForce NX6800 videocards in SLI configuration. When I installed Linux, it downloaded and installed all the latest updates, including nvidia drivers. When I boot up and go to the Suse system, the display is virtually illegible and unuseable. Can someone walk through a way to fix this? I'm assuming its something to do with the paired video cards.
