I am looking for a ULi M5288 Sata RAID driver for Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 or Redhat Enterprise Linux 4. I have a SuperMicro system with a Asus A8R-MVP Motherboard with a ULI M5288 Raid controller.

After looking online, the M5288 appears to be supported in Linux by the ahci driver. Unfortunately, this support was added in kernel 2.6.11, so neither RHEL3 (2.4.21) or RHEL4 (2.6.9) has support built-in. I suggest you contact RedHat and see if they have newer driver disks (or newer installation media) available. If not, your only options are to either create a driver disk yourself or use a newer Linux distribution. RHEL5 is out now, and the kernel should be new enough to support your hardware.
