GPL-incompatible modulo error.. Debian unstable
When I try to compile the nvidia modulo I receive that error in the nvidia-installer.log
FATAL: modpost: GPL-incompatible module nvidia.ko uses GPL-only symbol 'para virt_ops'
(i try with nvidia driver 9755 and beta 100.14.03 in linux kernel 2.6.20-1)

Re: GPL-incompatible modulo error.. Debian unstable
This is a problem with Paravirtualization option in the kernel config.
If you compile the kernel with that option enabled you are not able to compile the nvidia drivers.
There is a solution that I don't remember (quite complicated ) to make the drivers compile without recompiling the kernel, but the easier and fastest solution I've found is recompiling the kernel and disable Paravirt:
apt-get install linux-source-2.6.20
cd /usr/src && tar xvjf linux-source-2.6.20.tar.bz2
Disable Paravirtualization in Processor type and features (if I remember well)
make-kpkg --initrd kernel_image
cd ..&& dpkg -i linux*deb
