Default Can I Password individual files?

I am setting up a new computer I built for my office and want to be able to password individual files rather than have to create separate log-ins for every member of the staff. Is this possible in WinXP pro? All I want to do is create separate Briefcase files, where everyone can save their work, downloads, etc. and have them secured.

Thanks for the help.
