Default Wrong refresh rate shown with nvidia driver

Hey,

I have a weird problem: when I check my refresh rates with xrandr when using the nvidia xorg driver I get these results (just showing the first 4 lines):

Code:
 SZ: Pixels Physical Refresh
*0 1600 x 1200 ( 383mm x 290mm ) *50 56 57 58
 1 1280 x 960 ( 306mm x 232mm ) 51 70
 2 1024 x 768 ( 245mm x 185mm ) 52 89 90 91
 3 800 x 600 ( 191mm x 145mm ) 53 107 108 109 110 111 112 113 114
 4 640 x 480 ( 153mm x 116mm ) 54 121 122 123 124 125
My monitor can do 1600x1200 at 75 Hz, and I can see it actually uses that mode when I check it's built-in OSD information tool.

When using the nv driver (with a simple xorg.conf I got from running X -configure) I get to see the proper modes:

Code:
 SZ: Pixels Physical Refresh
*0 1600 x 1200 ( 383mm x 290mm ) *75 70 65 60
 1 1400 x 1050 ( 383mm x 290mm ) 85 75 70 60
 2 1280 x 1024 ( 383mm x 290mm ) 85 75 60
 3 1440 x 900 ( 383mm x 290mm ) 60
 4 1280 x 960 ( 383mm x 290mm ) 85 60

During normal day to day desktop use this poses no problem, however, when trying to run games that use SDL for instance I frequently end up with a flickering, low refresh rate resolution.

Does anyone have the same experience and maybe a solution? I have this problem when running fedora core 6 and 7 test 4, and in ubuntu 7.04 btw.

Thanks in advance.

Attached are the output of xrandr when running the nvidia and nv driver, the xorg.conf Xorg -configure generated, and the nvidia bugreport.

P.S. Yes, I also have this problem when I don't specify the display size and refresh rates in xorg.conf

[edit] Is there a good reason why the "DynamicTwinView" option is not set to false by default when you have a single display?

@deBeuk: DynamicTwinView is needed for dynamic display configurability via nvidia-settings.
