I am running the nvidia drivers with kernel 2.5.69, using the minion.de patch. I am able to build the driver successfully, but it seems that I need to run "insmod /lib/modules/2.5.69/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko"
every time I start linux (debian sid). I'm assuming there should be a way to edit /etc/modules.conf and other such configuration files so that I can startx directly without loading the nvidia driver with insmod? |

Should be able to do alias char-major-195 nvidia or alias /dev/nvidia* nvidia in modules.conf (use the first if you don't use devfs, and use the second if you do use it -- if you're not sure, try using both of them, it should work).
