Gentoo Hippy

I'm running dual 6800 Ultra's with a dual-core cpu, Gentoo AMD64, Nvidia 9755, linux 2.6.20, and I'm getting freezes whenever I run 3d-accelerated stuff - anything from glxgears to UT2004. It will run smooth for the first one second at most, then freeze. I can recover by restarting X.
I have tried with and without SLI enabled in xorg.conf, with/without composite, and even though I haven't had the error shown in the stability faq, I have tried the pci=nommconf option. idle=poll seems to make no difference. Any ideas? Is it possible that my 520w PSU isn't handling dual 6800U's? |

I have a few questions:
0) Does this problem persist with the 100.14.06 beta driver? 1) Have you verified that you're using the latest motherboard BIOS? |
