I have fedora 7 installed and up and running with nvidia driver 100.14.06. I want to remove this driver and install 1.0.9755. I run the script with the uninstall command and it removes properly. I then install the 9755 driver and it installs properly . no problems. but when i start X it says it cannot FIND the nvidia module. I did a locate and the nvidia.ko file is where it should be. If i reinstall 100.14.06 it works fine. any suggestions.

This is expected. You need to use 100.14.06 with Fedora 7.

That's strange. I'm using the 9755 drivers with Fedora 7 with no problem. I just installed the driver using the info at http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=72490.
