running second X server with TwinView option
I finally managed to get TwinView working, but only if I run a single X server.
What I would like to do is to continue working with my regular desktop on X server :1 and have TwinView on X server :2, however when I try the same configuration that works (in TwinView mode) with one X server, it freezes my PC when run as a second server.
Is nvidia driver not reentrant or what ?
My configuration :
NVRM version: NVIDIA Linux x86 nvidia.o Kernel Module 1.0-4363 Sat Apr 19 17:46:46 PDT 2003
GCC version: gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)
Model: GeForce2 MX/MX 400
Video BIOS: 03.11.01.24.00
Card Type: AGP
Vanilla RH80, RH 2.4.20-13.9 kernel, AMD Duron CPU, ASUS VIA chipset based AV7-E board.
Any ideas ?

nVidia cards that support TwinView only have two CRTC's. You can't have one display running on CRTC 0 and TwinView enabled on CRTC 1 -- there won't be any second (actually third) display for TwinView to work with!
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to accomplish? You can't have hardware 3D acceleration across two different X servers, if that was what you were trying to get...
