It seems the official drivers are still not supporting the paravirtualization enabled kernels. This is actually understandable as far as NVidia can not do officially the hacks needed to pass the GPL checks of the kbuild system and the kernel. At least the way to get pass this checks still works with the latest driver and here is the download link for the latest patched version as well as some earlier ones (legacy drivers are included too).

I think this will be solved with 2.6.22 kernel series.

Let's hope so! But still I couldn't see any information regarding GPL paravirtualization or udelay in the changelog to 2.6.22 rc4 the most recent one on kernel.org.

Here you go from 2.6.22-rc1:
Author: Andi Kleen <ak@suse.de> Date: Wed May 2 19:27:17 2007 +0200 [PATCH] i386: PARAVIRT: Export paravirt_ops for non GPL modules too Otherwise non GPL modules cannot even do basic operations like disabling interrupts anymore, which would be excessive. Longer term should split the single structure up into internal and external symbols and not export the internal ones at all. Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@suse.de> The changelog in kernel.org is only for 2.6.22-rc4 and not for all the 2.6.22 dev tree ![]() |
