Used to work with nvidia 100.14.06 and the earlier versions (well.. it crashed often). Now it won't even start

Ok, my bad.. i ran the command wrong.
But how do you explain Beryl? I changed NOTHING except the nvidia driver.. so this isn't an installation problem. I reverted to 100.14.06 and it worked fine (beryl).. reinstalled .09 and the problem is back. |

Don't see anyone else complaining that the new driver breaks Beryl. Perhaps you should search the Beryl forums/lists (if there are any) for an answer.
Just revert to the old driver in the meantime if that works...

Beryl is abandoned anyway and is merging with compiz. So, use compiz and maybe compcomm git if you want the beryl plugins.

i might add:
since the new nividia-drivers (100.14.09) i have issues. when logging out or changing kwin <> beryl the whole desktop freezes. a cold start (eek) is the only possibility. is this a known issue? are there any solutions? (i am using advanced options: rendering path>copie composite overly window>use COW rendering plaform>force AIGLX) [using sidux, with shames beryl repo] |
