Irrational Games: We’ve focused development on single card solutions, so we’re not recommending people rush out to buy an SLI setup for our game.
just rename the main exe to unreal.exe (unreal engine 3 profile) for SLI users and we should be seeing a huge boost... R6 vegas had a huge boost from doing that

meh, i'll believe it when i see it, but for now i don't..

i don't think it will really require that much horsepower to run bioshock.

i bet it'll be more than playable (40fps+) with a C2D, 2Gb of ram and an 8800 (640mb+) at resolutions above 1280x1024.

if not then.. uh.. the graphics better be better than crysis, or the developers suck.

I have to agree (not necessarily about the developers sucking).

The areas in this game are very enclosed and there isnt THAT much going on. There isn't any reason it should have requirements that high. Especially in the CPU department. What exactly is being done that would require so much CPU power over other games?

The only "3Ghz" dual core CPU I can see being needed to make this run good would be a Pentium D.

Supposly some of the best AI in a game, mind you also that the game is in an enclosed enviroment but features alot of interactivity.

I hope so.

As long as it shows, I can deal with yet another CPU heavy game.

Up to this point though, most games that are CPU heavy either have enormous polygon counts because of draw distance\scenery complexity (city areas in Oblivion and STALKER for example) or tons of physics interactions (Half-Life 2... specifically Garry's mod).

If this game needs a really beefy CPU, it'd better have a good reason. Senselessly adding billions of polygons to the scenery or not using any sort of culling is a bad reason for high CPU requirements.

I have high hopes for this game though. I can't wait to play it.

Still not enough to make me switch to vista and dx10 but with that being said I'm really looking forward to this game.i think it will still look amazing in dx9.
