Hello,
I have trouble after upgrading from Mdk 9.0 to 9.1 (i upgrade 2 other systems without any problem). The colors on the screen are very strange and, when i change the parameters in XF86Config(-4) i can't see any change on the display. I try many things : - upgrading with the last nVidia driver ; - changing parameters in XF86Config (when i choose svga driver - not nvidia - i can see the true colors but the resolution is poor ; - i check all the stuff in the nvidia's README file (modprobe, files...). The only difference i can see is the /dev/nvidia* files : on my system, only the "0" and the "actl" are created (no nvidia[1-4] files) ; - i do a screen shot of http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux whith knsapshot and when i see this snap on a Windows laptop or on another Linux machine i see the right colors ("nVidia" in blue, not in yellow, "1.0-4363 Archive" in blue, not in dark red, the waves in blue, not in yellow/green, and so on...) Any idea on this strange (for me) behaviour ? Before i upgrade from Mdk 9.0, i do not have trouble with exactly the same hardware... Thank you in advance for your help... System: Dell 8200, GeForce 3 TI 200, Dell 1702FP (digital connection), NVIDIA Mandrake kernel (2.4.21-0.13mdk), 1.0-4363 driver Last edited by mas; 05-25-03 at 09:42 AM. |

I have exactly the same problem with the same hardware configuration.
Changing settings in the XF86Config-4 file doesn't affect anything. I also tried to connect the monitor through the analog connector but then there is no display at all. |
