Unhappy Corsairs Dominators discontinued???

Just got off the phone with corsairs RMA service department and they told me that they couldn't send me back my new 8888's because they have been discontinue!!!!! they giving me options or refund. What do you guys think?

The 8888's were the highest rated CL4 sticks around, probably didn't have many modules that passed that rating

From what i heard they need alot of voltage to get to them speeds and that whats killing them off.

I believe they said 2.4v was required to maintain that kind of performance. If that's true, that's the voltage point at which the silicon breaks down (I read it on some article put out by nvidia if I remember correctly). I guess the fail rate was just too high.
