Problem with Performer FADELOD

I am having a problem seeing object LOD blending under linux with a quadro fx5500 card.

Under windows it is working fine but I can't get the feature to work under linux.

Any performer people out there got this working under linux ?

> setenv PF_ENABLE_MULTISAMPLE_VISUAL 1

> perfly test.dwb

The menu show FADE LOD avaliable but it does not work. LOD's pop rather then blend.

Anti aliasing is working (set to 8 or 16)

Check xorg.conf file and played with many parameter but no luck yet.

can you post an example file? i've never tried the LOD blending myself, but i could give it a shot ... did the performer mailing list never get revived?

Here is a test file with a red floor blue cube and green ball.

The ball and cube have lod's on them.

on windows try:

>perfly lodexample.dwb

you should see the ball and cube "pop" in and out when you move in/out.

Then set

>set PF_ENABLE_MULTISAMPLE_VISUAL=1

perfly lodexample.dwb

make sure the video card is set to antialiasing 4x or more. Blending requires multisampleing.

You should see the ball and cube fade in as you move.

you have to make sure the fade lod button in "on" in the perfly menu. You can also slide the fadelod scale to play with the blend distances.

Then try it on linux.

with/without setenv PF_ENABLE_MULTISAMPLE_VISUAL 1

behaviour should be the same.

Please let me know if you see it working on Linux.
