First off, do you have a static IP?
Have you setup port porwarding on your router so it can be accessed from outside the NAT? |

You're using double-NAT which is bad. You need to 'slave' the Vonage Router off the D-Stink, or just use the Vonage router and the D-Stink as a switch.

Listen, I don't want to dissuade you, too much, but if you're a rookie you may be over your head setting your Linux box up as a server. There are many considerations to make with respect to access and security...and more. How about you host somewhere first, say for a year. Get to know scripts, learn about exploits, security memory and all that. Setup a local web server so you can learn and practice...there are a zillion ways to set up LAMP. |
