Hi.
Let me explain my issue. I have an Asus G1 notebook that I use as a desktop replacement when I'm working so I have an external LCD and keyboard. It is all fine but every time I turn it on I have to switch to the external LCD. I want to automate the process so, when the notebook boots I would like to detect if there is an external monitor attached and switch to it automatically. I'm running the latest nvidia driver on 32bit Ubuntu. Any ideas? Thanks. |

I forgot to add that I tried to run
nvidia-settings -q ConnectedDisplays But it aways reports the same result, Attribute 'ConnectedDisplays' (cartman:0.0): 0x00030000. 'ConnectedDisplays' is a bitmask attribute. 'ConnectedDisplays' is a read-only attribute. 'ConnectedDisplays' can use the following target types: X Screen, GPU. |
