Xorg 7.3 and Legacy-9639

What is the problem with XComposite ???
The screen is corrupted ... in Debian Experimental and Xorg RC1

9639 does not support the new driver ABI. If you look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log, you should see a message similar to this one:

============= WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING =============
This server has a video driver ABI version of 2.0 but this
driver is designed to work with versions before 2.0.
Please check http://www.nvidia.com/ for driver updates or
downgrade to an X server with a supported driver ABI.
===========================================================

The non-legacy drivers will refuse to start unless the -ignoreABI option is specified, but the legacy drivers will start up anyway.

Support for the new ABI will be available in future releases.

Yes, start the X-Server with -ignoreABI as Option, AaronP say it.

No, there's no workaround short of modifying the X server.
