Default Dual card/Triple screen setup issues

Hello ppl,

I've got a problem getting my triple-screen setup to work properly.

The config is as follows:
8800GTX on PCI1:00.00 with my center and right screen on respectively DFP-0 and DFP-1
8800GTX on PCI6:00.00 with my left screen on DFP-0

Motherboard is an ASUS Striker Extreme with an NVidia 680 chipset, each card in a 16x slot

Driver is 100.14.11-1, kernel 2.6.21

There are two problems really

1) My right screen is placed a bit lower than the center screen and I can't get my right screen to offset properly (giving 1680x1050+0+300 will get me proper alignment but leaves the lower 300 pixels unused)

2) My second card won't initialize
(EE) NVIDIA(GPU-1): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA graphics device PCI:6:0:0.
(EE) NVIDIA(GPU-1): Please see the COMMON PROBLEMS section in the README for
(EE) NVIDIA(GPU-1): additional information.
(WW) NVIDIA(GPU-1): Failed to initialize NVIDIA graphics device on GPU PCI:6:0:0!

The second card works fine if I install it as the only screen.

Also, this entire configuration works fine under WinXP, no problems with config whatsoever

Attached are the Xorg.conf, Xorg log file and the output of lspci -vt (second issue might be a PCI/IRQ routing thing?)

See the forum sticky posts as well as the instructions in the error that you posted.

Sorry, my bad *shame*
Here's the bug-report log

And yeah, the COMMON PROBLEMS section didn't really give me much to work on. The log only says "can't initialize", nothing indicating interrupts or somewhat.

See the driver README:

allocation failed: out of vmalloc space - use vmalloc=<size> to increase size.
NVRM: RmInitAdapter failed! (0x25:0xffffffff:1014)
NVRM: rm_init_adapter(1) failed

Ah yes... might be a mem thing. Seeing that I've got 4GB physical I should install a decent 64-bits distro anyway (got 32-bits with bigmem running now). I'll get on that this weekend.

And the alignment/offset thing? Is that possible with the linux version in the same way as on XP?
