if 64bit installable driver (100.14.19) is installed on a 64bit system with 32 bit libraries installed in parallel, it removes 32bit version libGL.so file and symlinks to it (it might also remove other files, haven't checked yet).
this breaks some 32bit applications, for example, mplayer. this seems like a bug in the driver - it should not remove files from other packages, especially if it does not provide anything to replace them. |

This is a quite complex task. Every distribution solves the 32bit/64bit issue in a different way. Second the reason the drivers remove other libGL files is to prevent issues (having mesa or other libGL libs around can lead to serious problems). Further even in your case you need to install the 32bit 100.14.19 anyway else it won't work.
