I have an Nvidia 8800 GTS running under Fedora 7 x86 Linux. I have no complaints the card works beautifully.
However, when I update my kernel and reboot I'm dumped to a prompt because the kernel interface must be rebuilt. This isn't a big deal(Just run the install script again). I have a similar issue with VMWare(again, just running the script again fixes it). I was wondering if there was a way to automatically run the install script during boot when the kernel interface needs to be rebuilt instead of dumping me to a prompt. I suppose it depends if there's a suitable place to hook into with script but I thought I'd ask someone that knows a little more than I do. It's not a big deal for me but for some of my family they would be completely lost. Cheers! -John |
