Im running Debian woody with the upgraded kernel 2.4.18, and KDE 3.1.2 for my desktop env. My problem is that I tell XF86Config-4 to use 1280x1024 resolution(and no others) and no matter what I do, I get 1024x768... I Would really prefer 1280x1024, but it's just not letting me.
Perhaps since im a bit of a newb im missing somethin.. Is there a resolution setting in some kde file perhaps?
Id attach some stuff but i dont know what would be relevent.... My XF86Config-4 file only allows 1280x1024, no other modes. Iv'e tried 8, 16 and 24, and all of them force 1024x768 on me :-(
Thanks in advance if you can help.
Oh and yes i know my monitor can handle it. I have acctually had redhat in 1280x1024, but this is debian, so...
