Hello. I'm having trouble setting the correct DPI for xorg on my nvidia setup running on pclinuxos using nvidia drivers 9639. Doing "xdpyinfo | grep dot" gives me the result of 85x85 DPI which is wrong and all of my fonts in KDE and gtk apps are way too large. I've tried adding these lines to xorg.conf
'Option "UseEdidDpi" "false"' and Option "DPI" "96 x 96". However, xorg.log shows the following: (**) NVIDIA(0): Option "UseEdidDpi" "false" (**) NVIDIA(0): Option "DPI" "96 x 96" (++) NVIDIA(0): DPI set to (85, 85); computed from -dpi X commandline option So... For some reason, 85x85 keeps overriding my manual setting for 96 x96 dpi. I also have noted that Nvidia-Settings is showing: 1280x1024 pixels (382x306 millimeters) for the screen display, although the #'s in xorg.conf are 325x260 mm. So.. even that value isn't being set correctly or seen correctly by nvidia-settings. Any help in manual setting screen DPI without some "-dpi X commandline option" totally over-riding it? Thanks.
