I have a MacBook Pro Santa Rosa, and when booting into OSX, the display works fine at the full resolution of 2560x1600.
However, when I boot into Ubuntu with the 100.14.19 nvidia binary driver and try to use the monitor, the top half of the screen is a solid color that is representative of my UI and the bottom half of the screen is flashing the same color. When I totally hose my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, the screen loads up fine in 1280x800. However there is no acceleration, so higher resolutions would probably be terrible for performance. I've tried several modelines that I've found and generated, but those never seem to change the resulting dual bars of solid and flashing color. I really hate OSX and Windows, so I would really love some help with this! -Nthalk |

Does the 100.14.23 beta driver resolve the problem?

Yes, the beta drivers do fix this issue.
