nForce 610M & Nvidia Geforce Go 8400M G Linux Drivers

Dear All,

I try to install Fedora 7 on an Acer Aspire 4520G Turion64 X2 TL-56 NVIDIA nForce® 610M and Geforce Go 8400M G and Nvidia Ethernet Controller. However it does not work. It seems that Fedora could not find the drivers for the AMD, nForce chipset and Nvidia Graphics Cards.

I also try Ubuntu but it still does not work. Could anyone here help me to solve the problem.

Hi i seem to have the same problem

I have a Acer 5520g. AMD Turion 64 x2 TL-56 with the nforce 610m chips set and a geforce 8400m. Almost the same computer as you.

I am trying to install ubuntu but without success. I have tried all the 7.10 editions and the 6.04 LTS editions with the same result. The live cds are working just fine but as soon as i install it on the hdd it stalls doing boot up.

just after boot i get the following error: PCI: Failed to allocate mem resource #6:20000@90000000 for 0000:02:00.0

Then the system keeps booting but freezes on the Ubuntu load screen.
I have tried to look around different forums for a solution but so far nothing has worked.

Have you solved your problem or does it look remotely like mine?
I need help, i will post my bug reports as soon as I have worked out how.

I installed Ubuntu using the alternate install CD successfully with this card.
