Hi,
I am setting up a linux machine with a GeForce 8600 and connected it to a Toshiba 47WLG66 full HD LCD screen. 1. The maximum selectable resolution is 1280x720, not 1920x1088 as it ought to be. 2. Playing back an SD-MPEG2-videostream with xine causes the xorg process to use sometimes 80% of the CPU on an AMD X2 4200 - luckily, this is a dual core processor. The weird thing: Connecting this machine to a CRT monitor, I get the the mentioned full HD resolution, and I donīt have any performance problems. Furthermore, full HD works without any problem on Windows. I am using the latest drivers 100.14.23. With kind regards Joerg Knitter |
