Question How do I install NVIDIA Driver 71.86.01

Hello,

I am a newbee with Ubuntu 7.10, and need to install Nvidia version 71.86.01 (for older NV11 Geforce2 card) . I downloaded the .run file, but I always get error messages, like cannot run in X etc ...

How do I have to make the install ?

thanks for any help.
