I also have Redhat 9 kernel 2.4.20-18.9-athlon and the driver will not compile. There is a screen-full of errors which I won't (unless someone really wants me to) post here.
Anyone managed to get this to work? |

Install kernel-source-$(uname -r).rpm
Then rerun the installer. It's actually easier if you don't upgrade kernels in a binary-only manner (i.e. if you compile them yourself), because then you NEED to have the kernel sources available before you can compile it. But, it is still doable, so don't bother trying that way, just install kernel-source (it should be available from up2date, just like the kernel was, but you may need to force the old kernel-source package to install first before it'll upgrade).

It is already using the correct sources
However I have since discovered that other things won't compile either....... so it's either a duff kernel or something on my system which isn't right.... |

What are the errors then? Post the first four or five of them, they should be recorded in /var/log/nvidia-installer.log. It might be something easily fixable...
Might want to post your version of gcc, too (gcc -dumpversion will tell you).
