If your msn setting is set to Appear offline, you will get that problem. Make sure msn is on busy or away when you play any games.

Away it is here, normally MSN goes to busy when starting a program full screen, it seems it doesn't do this with dx10 games
With dx9 games, msn went in busy mode, or if it stayed like this, u just saw a popup of ur contact coming through, but never went windowed, very annoying

Why not disable the feature altogether? You can just make it so a sound goes off when someone logs on if you absolutely wanna know. Personally I think it's annoying
![]() Otherwise you can just fullscreen it everytime with ALT+Enter the usual command..
