Okay, I've been reading some great posts on how to configure and tweak the hell out of Crysis! I want some help please! First off, I downloaded the program called gaco.retail.tweakconfig1.0 so what do I do with it since there's no readme file and second how do I made crysis run in directx 9? on Vista x64? I really want to enjoy this game.

You mean this one? http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...page=4&post#60
I thought that writing the instructions in the post would make an install note unnecessary and after all I have the impression that not many people read all the readme's in my original tweak project anyway ![]() I've answered your PM's, and if you read my post carefully you should be able to figure it out ![]()

Ehm.. ok. From the release notes:
HOW TO ENABLE DX9 MODE: ------------------------- If you're not doing so already, run Crysis in DX9-mode since the whole point of this tweak is to be able to have some per-default-DX10-exclusive settings somewhat simulated in DX9 to make a playable experience since DX9 offers generally better performance and more importantlyno mouselag (which DX10 is notorious for - the mouselag is believed to be a forceware driver bug). If you're not doing this already make a shortcut of whatever executable you run be it 32bit/64bit and right click -> properties -> add to targetline after the quotation marks: -dx9 For example your target could look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64\crysis.exe" -dx9 You can check that the game is in DX9 mode by looking under the advanced graphics options ingame, the very high options should be greyed out. HOW TO ENABLE THE CONFIG: -------------------------- To install just place in the main crysis folder, for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis, so it's in the same folder as the Bin32, Bin64 etc., then just launch the game. You can check that it's properly installed by looking in the ingame advanced graphics options, some of them are set to custom.
