Anybody know if nvidia linux drivers utilizes the vp2 capabilities of 8500gt/8600gt/8600gts ?
It would be nice to decreace the cpu load when playing full hd movies. the GPU features a second video processing unit (VP2), for 100% offload of H.264 decoding during HD video playback. |

No. But we are hoping some day it will.
MPEG-2 offload is present in GeforceFX/6/7 |
