Direct rendering is disabled after an upgrade to the new driver. Everything else is fine but Direct rendering simply does not work at any mode. Below is xglinfo output if any other debug info is needed please let me know.

You're not using NVIDIA's server side GLX extension module:
name of display: :1.0Please make sure the NVIDIA Linux graphics driver is installed correctly. |

It seems a ubuntu package at some point creates links to the mesa library in /usr/lib/nvidia
For anyone else who had this problem or has this problem simply remove everything in that directory and sudo apt-get install --reinstall nvidia-glx-new or nvidia-glx. |
