New feisty 64bit install causes nvidia card failure

thanks for the update on your situation. in my case, neither analog nor DVI gave a signal. i agree that the driver probably put the card in some non-operational mode/state. in my case, that would be difficult to fix on the same machine, since there is absolutely no output and the mode/state is apparently persistent, even when disconnecting power. whether installed in a different machine, the card would provide output, i do not know, but i doubt it would, given that not even the usual GPU bios message appears. one would probably have to install it side-by-side w/ a 2nd working card in the same machine in order to have a shot at resetting it.
