Nvidia graphics board for laptops should have a "Go" in the name, even if it is not always displayed by vendor, so I'm a bit confused.
I'm interested to know if such boards, and in particular the GeForce 8400 or 8600GT "laptop version" is supported by the last linux driver. When looking for drivers in the "GeForce Go" section I find only the "Series 7", for linux as well as for windows. So I'm even more confused... should I use the non-"Go" version for series 8? |

Please see the 100.14.xx and 169.04 NVIDIA Linux graphics drivers' READMEs for lists of products supported by these drivers, respectively.
