Nice! My wife and I have pretty much sealed the deal on getting the 50" version of that TV for ourselves for Christmas.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HLT508...960932&sr=1-16 We've got about $1100 tucked away in paypal at the moment and as usual, we'll probably just be getting cash from relatives and the parents. Now I just need a good 1080P dvd player (not HD or blue ray)... not yet...

Im considering this tv and have a few questions. For 20 years we've had an RCA 54" Projection in our great room (about 25' x 17'). It was a good size tv that could be seen into the kitchen with clarity until it died (on thanksgiving!). Our couch is about 16' away from the tv, so Im wondering is the 61" a good size to get. Do you know if the viewing angle is comparable to an old style projection tv? Im sure I could go bigger, but I really like the price Amazon's got on this one right now.
Also, how does non hd content look, like just satellite? I have a 32" LCD that shows regular tv horribly with ghosting and pixelation unless I watch a dvd or better. Im hoping that this tv is better than the lcd. Thanks for any info - Im disabled and its not easy to get to the stores to check them out in person. Ive been doing research and the Samsung seems like it might be the one. Simon |

$2000 will get you a decent 37inch tv over here.
