Default s2disk(tuxonice) problems

Hi. I'm trying to get tuxonice working on my laptop (with nvidia chipset and nvidia graphics). However currently success rate isn't to high. + It looks like this is nvidia-issue since it works with unloaded "nvidia" kernel module.

Currently system just freezes somewhere during(or maybe after) atomic copy with turned off display. However it still pingable but I'm unable to ssh it.

Some times ago I got same with my desktop system and some magic with NvAGP solve problems. But this is new laptop with PCI-E video.

Any ideas/suggests?

As you mentionned that your card is a PCI-E card, there is a small trickt you can try. Launch glxgears (or any opengl application) before suspending. There is a mention in NVIDIA's doc of a strange issue with PCI-E card that can be worked around this way...

Erwan who succeeds to suspend using this!

Hi Erwan. I can't find any doc that says something about launching GLX applications before suspending. However looks like this ugly hack works and now suspend2 works stable enough on this laptop.

Thanks.
