my problem is similar to what some of you guys are experiencing, yet different.
i'm totally new to linux, and am trying to install Fedora Core 8 on my machine, which is running an nVidia 8800 GTX card. At the point in the installation sequence where the program detects the nVidia card, it searches for drivers, then the screen goes blank. So, I'd welcome any suggestions (in noob language, if you please :-) that anyone may have as to how I can get Fedora installed on my machine. Thanks, Joe ===== AMD 4800 + BFG 8800 GTX OC Win XP SP2 |
